I am Ira Ryan.
I have always been focused on the process. A single file stroke to a lug or flick of the torch is never the final stop in the bikes I build but rather a step along the path that are bicycles. Since 2005 I have built each frame, fork, stem and bicycle by hand in my North Portland workshop. 35 years of riding, racing, making mistakes and learning has helped me understand that the simple bicycle can be a tool for exploration, a vehicle for sport and a way of life with a profound sense of connection. I am always open to exploring each frame and how to make it fit perfectly, perform well and look beautiful.
With one foot planted in a rich history of bicycle racing and what technology works well, I blend those styles with modern components using brass, silver and steel. I love all types of riding and use my experience to design timeless Road, Cyclo Cross, Gravel, Touring, City and Adventure bikes to carry people around the world. Every connection starts with a conversation and understanding of what your needs are as a rider and I look forward to hearing about what you love about cycling.
