I learned the craft of brazing high end steel frames at Serotta Cycles in their heyday of the late 90’s. From there, I moved to the small town of Waterford, Wisconsin in early 2000 and started at Waterford Precision Cycles. Eight years later, I knew there was only one step left, to strike out on my own with Ellis Cycles and build bikes that satisfied my own aesthetic and performed exactly the way I wanted. For the last 15 years, I’ve been crafting one of kind steel frames, forks and complete bikes that have gone all over the world. I’m always tweaking designs and trying to make each frame a little better based on my own riding and feedback that I get from all my Ellis riders. After 25 years, I think I’m really getting the hang of it!
